15/09/10 Life Science Infusion - Cells Biology

On the fifteenth of September,we were tasked to do a résumé.Before that,we were introduced to the topic of Cells.We learnt about the basic cell organelles and their functions,for example the nucleus.Its the control tower of the everything that happens in the cell,like our brain.

After the introduction,we were briefed about our task.MdmRiza gave us each a different cell organelle to explore and write a résumé on ourselves to apply for a job.It seems like a tough job at first,but it was real simple in the end.

That day we learnt about cells in a more detailed view thus we are able to understand more of its functions.

Hmm...today Mdm Riza showed us a video of what happen when certain metals were dropped into water.you might think that metals just sink and rust in water...but thats only for iron and metals like it...there is a wide variety of metals so why not thinking of other metals?

so yea..the video started off with a metal moving around in a large bowl of water and giving off nitrogen in the form of a white gas.that was the reaction of the metal.then another metal was dropped.that metal has a higher atomic number.so since it has more atoms in it,the metal give off nitrogen at a faster rate.

then the third metal was dropped.the atomic number of the metal increases as the number of metal dropped increases.so this time the release of nitrogen was so fast that the nitrogen caught fire.then the following metals exploded upon contact with the water...the last few were so large that the camera crew had to put protective glass in front of them...so yea..
