MdmRiza came back to go through with us about transport in humans before our exams. So this is my 3.2.1 reflection of the lesson.
3 Things I Learnt
I learnt that our blood is made up of mainly four substances:red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma. The red blood cells carry oxygen around the body while the white blood cells kills germs and bacteria in our blood cells. The platelets in our body clot up cuts in our skin so that we do not lose excessive blood and the plasma carries waste materials and carbon dioxide.
2 Questions
I'm wondering how do the white blood cells kills germs.Do they release a substance to kill them?Another question is that how is our heart able to pump blood without stopping? Our other muscles will get tired after some time of exercising and such but how does our heart continue?
1 Useful Application
One useful application is that now I know what is in my blood and what are the uses and functions of my circulatory system and this helps understand my body more
As requested by MdmRiza, this blog is for my reflection about my science lessons...so yea... :D

14 April 2010
On that day,my class learnt about diffusion and osmosis.so here is my 3.2.1 reflection on it :)
3 Things I Learnt
I learnt that diffusion takes place in all three states of matter while osmosis only occurs in liquids and when an partially permeable membrane is present.I also learnt that diffusion is a part of osmosis, since both processes have a higher concentration of a substance moving to a lower concentration.Another thing I learnt is that osmosis occurs in plants such as when water is absorbed by the root cells.
2 Questions
One question is that why do substances diffuse?Another question is that is water able to go into our body through osmosis of the skin cells?
1 Useful Application
One useful application is air sprays. The spray will diffuse from the can into the surrounding air as the concentration of the spray is lower in the surroundings. This is why we can smell it even if we're away from the can.

3 Things I Learnt
I learnt that particles of a matter have different amounts of forces of attraction in different states.I also know the particles of solids have the strongest attraction of the three states and particles of gases have the weakest attraction.I also know that the particles of gas and liquid do not have fixed positions
2 Questions
I wonder how ae the particles of a substance thats sublimes skip the liquid stage when changing from solid to gas.Another question is whether the subtances that sublimes can change into solid from a gas without changing into a liquid.
1 Useful Application
I can apply ths into my daily life as now I know why mothballs seems to 'dissapear' after a period of time.
